Are you looking for a place where all of God’s children can come together as a loving family? Here at Arlington Hills Presbyterian church, we are very intentional about embracing every one with the love and grace God places in our hearts. This is not mere lip service or theological platitudes. Christ’s ministry of reconciliation is present here in a powerful way.
We are striving to follow Christ’s call to love our neighbors as ourselves. We worship our Lord and pray with our hands and feet engaged in building God’s peaceable reign in our small corner of God’s creation. When our Euro-American grandmas and African aunties take turns holding our babies, Jesus is smiling with a tear in his eye.
Every month we sing a hymn of the month. On the International Day of Peace, Sep. 21, we gathered around the peace pole to sing This is my Song. For several weeks, we continued to sing:
This is my Song
This is my song, O God of all the nations,
A song of peace for lands afar and mine.
This is my home, the country where my heart is;
Here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine;
But other hearts in other lands are beating
With hopes and dreams as true and high as mine.
My country’s skies are bluer than the ocean,
And sunlight beams on clover-leaf and pine.
But other lands have sunlight too and clover,
And skies are everywhere as blue as mine.
Oh, hear my song, O God of all the nations,
A song of peace for their land and for mine.
We are a multicultural congregation with families hailing from across the globe. As brothers and sisters united in Christ, we lift our hearts and voices for peace and reconciliation, here and now.
Join us to worship and fellowship with our multicultural congregation situated in our diverse community on the East side of St Paul. We engage our community with our Lord’s prayer on our lips, “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." Take a deep breath and stretch your legs, we have we have a big project before us.
